Dose the Us still follow the spirts of the poem

I feel that we do not follow the spirts of the poem. The U.S dose not allow the immigrants anymore. Even if the immigrants do happen to get here , they are sent back immediately after they have been arrested. If they do apply for a green card it takes several years to get approved for it. When they do become legal in the U.S the jobs they recieve are barley enough for them to support there familys. The immigrants arent treated the way every one else is, and that is why i feel the that the poems spirts arent followed any more.
