Poem: Maricruz G. Jeremy S.

Not like the shameless giant of the Greeks
With winning things from place to place
Here in water, the sun stands
A super woman, with a flamming torch
Is the light and her name
Mother of immigrants, from the palms of her hands
Lights welcome, her glooming eyes
The bridge harbors that twins cities frame
"keep your people in their land!" she says
"give me your poor, and tired"
And all waiting to be free,
The trash from your land can be,
Send these for a better life
I lift the great FIRE, for anyone!
